Drone Infrared Roof Inspection Process:
1. Initial Consultation
Contact us to share your building's issues. Based on your roof makeup and construction, we'll determine if your roof is a viable candidate for an infrared roof inspection to provide useful data.
2. Pre-Inspection Planning
We schedule the inspection following industry standards: 1hour before sunset, after a sunny day, and no after no precipitation for 24 hours. We also obtain any necessary flight permissions and FAA safety clearances.
3. On-Site Arrival & Setup
Our FAA-licensed drone pilot arrives at your location and sets up the equipment. We perform a safety check, verify flight conditions, and establish a secure takeoff and landing zone.
4. Infrared Drone Flight & Data Capture
Using our DJI Matrice M30T infrared drone, we fly over your roof, capturing high-resolution thermal images and video. These images reveal temperature variations that indicate moisture buildup, insulation gaps, and other potential issues.
5. Data Analysis & Report Generation
After the flight, our team analyzes the infrared data, identifying problem areas and assessing the extent of any issues. We compile the findings into a detailed report, including thermal images, analysis, and recommendations for next steps.
6. Report Delivery & Consultation
Within a few days, you receive your report via email. We also provide a consultation to review the findings and answer any questions. Your reports can then be shared with a roofing contractor of your choice to aid the repairs needed.
7. Follow-Up (Optional)
If you need a follow-up inspection after repairs, we can schedule another flight to ensure the issues have been resolved.
